BFWO as a health and nutrition service provider NGO, deliver their services through 19 MHNTs in remotest areas of Kunduz, Kunar and Nangarhar provinces; each team has 9 members who provide H&N services, which includes treatment cases of malnutrition of children and pregnant and lactating mothers, adapting the necessary vaccines, psychological counseling, anti-natal and post-natal care (ANC & PNC), outpatient department (OPD), treating cases of Cholera and Tuberculosis, followed by the health education for the adolescents, women, and children to increase their awareness.

The team provide effective services to the most vulnerable population of host communities through deployment of MHNTs in order to serve, mother and child who are affected by wars and critical situation of Afghanistan in past few decades.

 

Team Leader (MD): There main purpose is to supervise, monitor, and coordinate Mobile Health and nutrition team activities.

Midwife: Is providing RMNCH (Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health) services to pregnant and lactating women at Mobile Health Team.

Nurse: Is providing Nutrition (SAM treatment) services to children, pregnant and lactating women at Mobile Health Team.

Nutrition Counsellors: They are Screening Malnutrition cases and MIYCN (Maternal, Infant and Young Child Nutrition) counselling services to Children under five, pregnant and lactating women at Mobile Health Team.

Vaccinator: Is providing routine vaccination services to Children under five, pregnant and lactating women at Mobile Health Team.

Health and Nutrition Promoter: Is providing Health and Nutrition Education, promote community activities, form health community and coordinate MHNT activities at community level.

Psychosocial Counsellor (PSSC): Is carrying out mental health and psychosocial support services at MHNT team, including psycho-social support and psychological first aid to survivors of GBV (Gender Base Violence)

Nutrition Assistant: Is providing, Nutrition (MAM treatment) services to children, pregnant and lactating women at Mobile Health Team.
